CDF data of magnetic field measured at 20Hz intervals with the induction magnetometer at Syowa Station, Antarctica.
ReleaseDate
2013-07-09 12:00:00
Description
Magnetic field measured with the induction magnetometer at Syowa Station, Antarctica. The data consist of variations of three-dimensional (H, D, and Z components) geomagnetic field taken with a sampling rate of 20 Hz, and some engineering parameters for the instrument, such as the sensitivity and phase difference. (As of July 2013, the engineering parameters are invalid.) The digital data are distributed in the Common Data Format (CDF).
Acknowledgement
Please contact the Principal Investigator, Dr. Hisao Yamagishi (yamagisi [at] nipr.ac.jp), National Institute of Polar Research (NIPR) before using the data at any publications and/or presentations. We welcome collaborative research and strongly recommend users to contact us early in order to ensure that the data are suitable for their research. When the data are used at any publications and/or presentations, we would like to ask the users to acknowledge NIPR and send us one copy of the reprints. An example of the acknowledgement statement is as follows: 'Magnetic field data were provided by National Institute of Polar Research, Japan. The Upper Atmosphere Physics Monitoring Observation at Syowa Station was mainly supported by the Research Program of Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition (JARE) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology of Japan (MEXT).' For more details about the observations, please refer the following data report: JARE data reports. Upper atmosphere physics 26, 1-59, 2008-02.
