Observation data of the lower troposphere taken by the LTR at Shigaraki (CSV format)

ResourceID
spase://IUGONET/NumericalData/RISH/misc/SGK/LTradar/ltr_sgk_csv

Description
The 10-minute average observation data in the troposphere (0.9-10 km) taken by the lower troposphere radar (LTR) at Shigaraki in the Shiga prefecture, Japan (34.86N, 136.11E, 385m MSL). The data are stored in the CSV (Comma Separated Values) file named (year)(month)(day).(variable).csv. The variable abbreviations are uwnd, vwnd, wwnd, pwr1, pwr2, pwr3, pwr4, pwr5, wdt1, wdt2, wdt3, wdt4, and wdt5, which mean zonal, meridional and vertical wind velocities, echo power and spectral width for beam 1-5, respectively. The azimuth and zenith angles of beam 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 are (0, 0), (0, 10), (180, 10), (90, 10), and (270, 10), respectively, in unit of degree. The numbers of the first line of each file represent altitudes, and the second and below are observational date and time (year/month/day hour:minute) which corresponds to the center time of averaging period and data at each altitude. The value of 999 means missing data. The observation data have not been open since April 2006 because the LTR is used for special campaign observations at various sites.
