Description
The Hinode Solar Optical Telescope Filtergraph (SOT-FG) Level 0 FITS dataset consists of uncalibrated FITS files generated from spacecraft telemetry. The dataset contains high-resolution optical imaging observations obtained with the Broadband Filter Imager (BFI) and Narrowband Filter Imager (NFI). The observations include photospheric and chromospheric measurements in multiple wavelength bands used for studies of solar magnetic structures, dynamics, and activity. The Level 0 FITS products preserve detector-oriented imaging measurements prior to scientific calibration processing. Typical image scale is approximately 0.054 arcsec per pixel for BFI observations and approximately 0.08 arcsec per pixel for NFI observations.
Hinode is a Japanese mission developed and operated by JAXA in collaboration with NAOJ, NASA, STFC (UK), and international partners.
