Description

The Solar Orbiter Heliospheric Imager (SoloHI) instrument was designed, built, and is now operated by the US Naval Research Laboratory with the support of the NASA Heliophysics Division, Solar Orbiter Collaboration Office under DPR NNG09EK11I. The NRL effort was also supported by the Office of Naval Research.

Description
The telescopic field-of-view is 40 degrees square, boresighted 25.124 degrees off the Sun center, with an angular range of approximately 5 - 45 degrees from Sun center (5.25 - 47.25 solar radii at 0.28 AU). The focal plane array is 3968 x 3968 pixels, giving full angular resolution of 36.7 arcsec. Each image file is a separate readout of the four tiled mosaic detector.
